This policy explains how Apanno AI Private Limited (incorporation in progress) (“Apanno”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit apanno.ai or contact us. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules. In the language of that Act, Apanno is the data fiduciary for the data described here.
Each Apanno venture, such as Oramta, is a separate product with its own privacy policy. This policy covers this website only.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your first and last name, email address, the topic you choose, and your message.
- Email: whatever you include when you write to founder@apanno.ai, such as your name, signature, and attachments.
Information collected automatically
When you load a page, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose errors.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated abuse.
How we use it
- To read and reply to your message, and to follow up on investment, partnership, career, or product enquiries you start.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot this website.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We process this data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form or email us, and for legitimate uses the law allows, such as keeping the site secure. We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and the database that stores contact-form messages, and delivers a copy of each message to our inbox.
- Google LLC provides our email through Google Workspace.
- Authorities, when Indian law requires us to disclose information.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and confidentiality commitments. If Apanno is involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, data may transfer to the successor under this policy.
Where it is stored
Contact-form messages are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database located in the Asia-Pacific region, and a copy is emailed to our Google Workspace inbox. Email is stored by Google Workspace. Our providers may process data outside India, as permitted by Indian law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to respond and to continue any conversation you start, and then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete, or update it;
- erase it, or withdraw your consent to our using it;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to do so.
Send requests to founder@apanno.ai. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and access to stored messages is limited to people at Apanno who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your data has been exposed, please tell us at once. More detail is on our Trust page.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.
